Cute Ways to Spoil a Cat

August 1, 2017
Cats may be small, but they can take up some pretty big spaces in our hearts and souls. Our feline friends love being pampered, and they definitely deserve it! Read as a local Frisco, TX vet offers some great ways to keep your pet’s motor going.

Window Seat

Did you know that birdwatching is one of Fluffy’s favorite activities? Offer your furry little voyeur a comfy window seat in a spot that offers a good view.

Apps

Kitties apparently have quite a few fans—or minions—in the technology sector. There are now all sorts of games you can download for Fluffy to play on your phone or tablet. (Disclaimer: results may vary.)

Kitty Garden

Another great way to bring on the purr is to set out some kitty-safe plants for your furball to nibble on and hide behind. Some good options are Boston ferns, Spider plants, and Rubber tree plants. Catnip, of course, is another great choice. Or, pick up a spare litterbox and use it to plant a mat of cat grass. Check the ASPCA site for more suggestions.

Furniture

Cats don’t really mind ‘borrowing’ our beds, chairs, and couches, but they love having some things all to themselves. You don’t have to break the bank getting cat furniture: look online for great DIY options for making cat towers, pet tents, kitty beds, and window seats.

Modern Toys

While the catnip mouse will probably always be Fluffy’s favorite toy, there are some really innovative and fun modern playthings available in cat stores. Get your kitty moving with catnip bubbles, robotic mice, automated laser pointers, or mechanical waterproof fish.

Boxes

While cats certainly love being pampered, it’s only fair to point out that many of our furry friends have very simple tastes. Fluffy may be thrilled with a simple cardboard box!

Playtime!

Take a few minutes a day to play with your pet. The activity will be great for Fluffy, both mentally and physically. It will also be fun for you!

Purr Activation

Last but not least, the best way to spoil your cat is just to pay lots of attention to her! Offer Fluffy lots of snuggles and kisses, and let her snooze on your lap. Please contact us, your local Frisco, TX animal clinic, with any questions or concerns about your cat’s health or care. We are happy to help!
