In the event of an emergency during our normal office hours, please call ahead if possible at (972) 335-8100 and proceed directly to our practice.

Directions to Emergency Animal Hospital from our Hospital:
Proceed North on Coit to McDermott
Turn right (East) on McDermott and go approx 2 miles
Turn left (North) onto Custer
Custer descends as you go North and you will see the EAHCC on the horizon.
Emergency Animal Hospital will be on the west side of Custer 1/3 mile south of 121.
The Emergency Animal Hospital is open whenever Coit Hedgcoxe Animal Hospital is closed (nights, weekends and holidays).

What constitutes an emergency?

An emergency exists for your pet if he or she:

  • Cannot urinate
  • Is hit by a car
  • Is bleeding
  • Has trouble breathing
  • Is suddenly bloated
  • Is suddenly severely ill
  • Is convulsing
  • Has ingested poison
  • Is unconscious
  • Is in hard labor for over one hour
  • Has any type of eye problem
