Cattitude

June 1, 2018
If you have a cat, you’ve probably noticed that kitties have some pretty big purrsonalities. Fluffy definitely has her own unique outlook on life! Here, a Plano, TX vet discusses cattitude.

Take Your Time

Have you ever opened a door for your cat, only to have her yawn, stretch, and take her time coming through? Kitties rush for no one! While we wouldn’t advise being consistently late, don’t pack more onto your schedule than you can handle.

If I Fits, I Sits

Kitties love exploring little nooks and crannies. While some furballs are content to check out closets, boxes, and the spaces beneath and behind furniture, others are more adventurous, and may curl up in a bowl, plant pot, or on a tiny shelf. Make your living space your own!

Kitty Gravity: Better Than Regular Gravity

Our feline pals are extremely flexible and athletic. Fluffy may love hanging upside down from her cat tower, scaling a sofa, or jumping from one piece of furniture to another. One would almost think that the regular laws of physics just don’t apply to cats! We don’t recommend trying purrkour, but don’t be afraid to challenge yourself.

Self-Confidence

It’s not hard to tell when your pet is content. Fluffy has absolutely mastered that smug, self-assured look. Have confidence in yourself!

Good Vibrations

One of the most lovable traits cats have is the fact that they actually vibrate with happiness. Some kitties start their engines as soon as their owners pet them. Show your love!

Speak Up

Some of our furry buddies are very opinionated! While some cats are more talkative than others are, most kitties won’t hesitate to give their humans an earful on occasions. Fluffy isn’t afraid to let you know her thoughts on baths, car rides, and the strange kitty in the yard. Speak your mind!

Follow Your Own Path

Cats are notoriously fickle when it comes to getting attention. Fluffy may be purring and snuggly one moment, only to randomly nip your fingers and then walk away with a disdainful look. Be yourself!

Relax

It probably won’t be much of a surprise to learn what Fluffy’s golden rule is. Get plenty of rest!
